... I'm all about just kicking the stuff but there is a danger with K. According to the Ashton Manual(you can download it online but make sure you don't join the Benzo Forum as there are some crazies in there who'll scare the hell out of you). Run a search for the Ashton Manual and give it to your doctor. It is best to replace Klonipin with valium(1mg Klonipin = 20mgs Valium)... (9 replies)
... Hi everyone, This is my first post in this forum. I have been using opiates for 16 years. I have been on the methadone program for 12 years. I was started on Suboxone 12 months ago, 6mg/day to start with. I slowly reduced to 2.5mg/day, and then went into residential detox for ten days to jump off. For two days before admittance, I missed my dose so that by the time I went... (31 replies)
... I was also on a Benzo 20 years ago and went through great difficulty coming off that time, so I have been where you are and have learned so much in regards to withdrawal from these horrible drugs. Ativan has a very short half life and dong a direct taper can be difficult. ... (2 replies)

I feel so much better and I have so much more energy it's unbelievable. I can't speak about taking Suboxone, but I did my research before hand on the drug and I personally did not want to take it. It is an opiate replacement... (7 replies)

... Was funny in my case, Xanax was a good sleep aid for at least a year with no tolerance building. Valium was a much better one but only for a month. It has some real strong sedating effects for a while which, like some said on a forum, subside in about a month. ... (359 replies)

... Thanks okie and philster. It was all stuff out of my control, so I could either go nuts or accept how things were (and are). Okie, you are quite correct - I certainly would have ended up physically dependent on the meds. But like I said, I took MUCH more than I needed for pain control. Actually, I took as much as I could find/score from the docs, and as much as my body would... (8 replies)
