... Tell your Dr. that you want to quit and ask him for a taper schedule. When you do a slow taper off of Narcotics it makes the withdrawal symptoms much more easy to tolerate. By telling your Dr. you have someone to keep you honest, so to speak. ... (5 replies)

... I just joined today trying to find out if anyone else is addicted to Tramadol. I got addicted to Vicodin last year and started taking Tram to ween of the Vic. I take about 6 50mg a day and have a doctor who is willing to put me on a Suboxone program to help me W/D. ... I've heard this too. I do take Xanax as needed and I've become tolerant of it but not addicted to it. Lucky me!! But the risk is still there. Problem is, when I take Vic, I have no need for my antidepressants, anxiety or IBS medications. This makes it harder to stop using Vic. That sounds like a good plan.
