... if your going to stop the opiates completely, wait 24 hours minimal before taking the xanax. It may seem like an eternity but it's not believe me. The xanax will help but don't replace one drug for another, xanax is very addictive, and benzo withdrawal can be deadly, it causes seizures. ... (14 replies)
