... i am weaning myself off of vicodin, i was takin up to 10-15 per day, yesterday i only took 6, and today only 4. but i have noticed i am having panic attacks. i take paxil for these attacks, but even they don't seem to be helping. any suggestions? ------------------ south249 (7 replies)

... very difficult thing to do. For now, all you can do is support her. Ask her what you can do to help. Try to keep her mind of things. If she is going through withdrawel she will most likey not beup to going out and doing things for herself such as grocery shopping, making her some lunch, dinner, etc.... ... (6 replies)

... Hello, I can relate 100% for me coming off Vicodin also included insomnia- diarreah-Leg Cramps-Headache-chills-shakyness. it was awful but possible. What I strongly suggest is to go to NARCOTS ANNONYMOUS Meetings, they help you undersatnd about the disease of addiction and staying clen One DaY At A Time, or even A Minute At a Time.......... ... Ativan is a benzodiazepine, a little weaker than Xanax. Your doc probably gave you that for anxiety. You sound like you're stocked up properly. Vicodin is my worst nightmare too (and my first love!) Good luck and I hope you're doing okay. aquar (40 replies)

... jessy, i'm not doing this alone. i go to therapy twice a week, my parent knew about and helped me recover from my first problem with vicodin, but this time he does not know. my therapist suggested Milk Thistle because 1. it will supposedly help cleanse my liver of toxins and 2. protect it for the Cymbalta i'm going on, which can cause liver damage...i'm a little confused by... ... So what I am saying is that yes, if you CAN treat your pain with OTC meds then you should get off the vicodin as soon as you can. The sooner the better since you are still at such an incredibly low dose of the meds. ... (34 replies)
