Re: Nausea
Feb 3, 2004
Right now I take 0.1 of fludrocortisone and 25mg of dhea in the morning with my thyroid medicine. And 0.5 of prednisone at 5:00 at night. I was on .25 of cortisone in the morning and half of that at night before.

My new endocrinologist said he wanted to switch me to the prednisone because it stays in the body better. And he didn't want my body to get used to such a high dose of steroid. He did say that I might not feel as good on the lower dose...and he is right.

Gertie,
I had a lot of trouble with nausea for a long time. I woke up every morning feeling nauseous. I now take a delayed release prednisone that releases at 4:00 in the morning - same concept as waking up early to take meds and going back to sleep. I feel much better now in the morning. You may want to take Heather's advise and take it 30 minutes or an hour before you have to get up.
