My endo was one of the top endos in Lubbock Tx and he always checked my ACTH level, my TSH level, free T4 and they always check your electrolytes to make sure that the potassium and sodium are staying on a normal basis. The ACTH is the signal your brain sends down to your adrenals to either speed up or slow down your adrenal output. If your adrenals are shot like mine were the ACTH was way out of range. They can also check for adrenal and thyroid antigens and see if your body is putting these out to attack the adrenals and thyroid. Please write me if I can help with anything else.
