Doctors are very good at "fluffing off". The only thing I can tell you is that I have muscle pain too, especially in the legs. I know you've had tests but what do they say about thyroid levels? I have normal thyroid levels buy my primary doc did a 24 hour urine cortisol test and the level which was very low. He told me that my thyroid medicine needs cortisol in order to work properly, but he would prefer an endo doc treat me and schedule any other necessary tests. So far two endo docs told me that they don't believe that I'm hypothyroid. One made no comment about the cortisol, the other agreed that cortisol was low but he didn't think I needed treatment since I didn't show signs of cortisol insufficiency from his examination. He recommended an antidepressant, which I thought was idiotic.
I would suggest that you keep seeing endo docs until you find one that's "enlightened." Watch out for the Gatorade. Check out the potassium levels on the bottle. I read on other health websites that potassium can interfere with salt retention. This could be a sign of aldosterone insufficiency.
