Hello,

Ive been on here in the past, its been a while. I have been suffering from a pituitary gland deficiency. My testosterone is low, and my Cortisol has been low in the past. I am seeing a hormone specialist. He wants to start me on 17.5 MG of cortef a day. 10 in the morning, 5 at lunch, 2.5 at dinner.

I have had very bad experiences with meds in the past. Since my hormones have been out of whack, I have been super sensitive to any meds it seems. Of course, this could be because my adrenals are suppressed.

I wanted to know what others experiences were with Cortef. I want to try it, but Im very scared. getting the courage to take hormones is hard for me, even though my life right now is suffering from what appears to be a ack of these hormones. I know it sounds like a no brainer, but I have been suffering from severe attacks of shortness of breath, extreme fatigue, dizzyness, tremors, heart palpitations, digestions issues, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, etc.

Sometimes when I take a med, it throws me on a roller coaster ride to hell and back. I guess Im a big wimp on this stuff. Its funny, Im a cop, and some would say kinda of a tuff guy type. When it comes to this, I am scared as can be.

What have your experience with Cortef been? Did you notice anything right away? etc.

thanks!
Nick
