... Thanks Bea, The docs know I have a blood sugar issue but no treatment for it so far, before I had the steroid shots they checked it and it was 325, 2 hours later it was 35!!!! and I had not had any chocolate or anything! ... I think the 10 day cortisol is a test to see if you feel better on it. I would try it and jot notes each day about your overall energy and stamina. I disagree that any endo will react the way yours did. What is the point of ordering tests if youre going to ignore abnormal results? Your stim test was abnormal, and the ativan or eating shouldn't have affected it. If you feel... (5 replies)

... Doesn't look like you have an adrenal issue. Your ACTH & cortisol levels are fine.. these would be the two that would clearly indicate adrenal insufficiency. Also, there is usually very low sodium with high potassium. Addisonians tend to excrete sodium and retain potassium. However, low aldosterone levels can contribute to fatigue. Do you crave/enjoy salty foods? Do you... (11 replies)
... It sounds like you have a really bad doctor! I am learning about Addison's disease myself, but I have had thyroid problems for twenty years. It sounds to me like your thyroid dose is probably way too high. Did the doctor do a followup blood test about six weeks after you started your medicine? That is standard procedure to ensure your dose is correct. When your thyroid... (1 replies)
