... Keraly and group, I found a new endo who is supposed to be good. After I suggested it, we decided to test Aldosterone, Renin and Antiadrenal antibodies. Here's what he came back with (remember I'm the one with low DHEA, low BP, high ACTH and Stim Test that came back less than perfect): Antiadrenal Antibody screen: negative Aldosterone: 1 ng/dL (Range-Upright... ... Thanks for your help. I've always heard that Cortisol should double too. However, I've read that endos feel that anything over 20 is good, except that that is where mine started. My ACTH has ranged from 45-62 (Range 5-27) much HIGHER than normal. My DHEA-S is pathetic but the endo (supposedly a top doc) says there's nothing wrong with my adrenals. I tried to explain that... ACTH, Plasma 427 (5.0-60.0) This is a VERY high result. 11-Doexycortisol, Serum 6662 (20-130) Never had this one, looks like your doctor was looking for congenital adrenal hyperplasia, probably late onset 11-Deoxycortisol, Serum LC/MS/MS... ... Hi Chris! Well, I didn't feel anything during the testing but when I got home I noticed I had pretty nasty hand tremors, a pounding headache and sore muscles. I got kind of worked up yesterday, so maybe it was really from all of the stress associated with blood testing and doctors this week. I guess I was more worried (illogical, I know) that my test would be normal... (7 replies)

... Hi again Tracy, I was doing more research today online and ran across a site about aldosterone testing, which made me think of Travis. Didn't you say at one point that you had increased the salt in his diet to try to see if it helped him feel better? I read that a very salty diet would be one cause of a low score on an aldosterone test. Now of course, I'm not sure... (2 replies)
