... Kim, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I definately feel like the preg. is helping. At first I feel like I was on too high of a dose. So dropped that down to 50mg a day. I am probably going to switch it to 2 25mg pills a day. But my pills are capsule and can't be split, so I am just taking one 50mg around 11:00am. ... Most doctors try to mimmick the body's natural release of cortisol or should. If your body functions normally then you would have the most cortisol when you first get up and it will decline as the day goes on. So I guess that is why your doctor is tapering it like that. ... Please check out Lupus and DHEA. If you have Addison's you will also be deficient in DHEA which is also made by the adrenal glands. There is some evidence that taking DHEA helps with Lupus. (24 replies)

I honestly think the cortef is starting to help with the exhaustion feeling but not fatigue. They feel different to me. Plus I really cut down my hours at work so that might help too. ...
