... Trying to get a diagnosis. Can barely function anymore. Can't see endo until 8/23 don't know if I can make it until then. Thanks Jess - I looked at my past tests, (I make them give me copies, easier when you have to seek out another Dr.) and see that in 11/07 I had an ACTH test, but they didn't inject me with anything, just drew blood. It looks like "normal" was 6-48pg/mL and I tested 13. Of course, I have no idea what that means, but it wasn't flagged as abnormal, even though that is quite a... (10 replies)

... Thanks Wanda, I am going to the doctor next Monday and you can be sure that I am going to tell him my dosage is too high. Since starting cortef I have noticed my cheeks to be fuller/puffy and weight gain in my tummy area and I have just been nausueas and dizzy. I just read a book called Feeling Fat, Fuzzy or Frazzled? - it's talks about thyroid, adrenal, and reproductive hormones and imbalances and what to do about it. Not sure it's answered my questions but it has a quiz to see which hormone might be out of whack.... (10 replies)

... It's interesting you should say that, because I'm having the exact same experience every month (or every cycle, rather). I was planning to do a 24-hour cortisol profile test (saliva), but my sleep cycle gets messed up each month (cycle) as well, so I haven't been able to take the test yet.
