... I have addison's disease (diagnosed Nov. 2009..40 mg hydrocortisone split 3 times a day, and fludrocortisone .1mg once a day). I have yet to get a handle on this disease. I take frequent breaks, yet I am always ending up... (1 replies)
... In my opinion contemplating an herbal remedy as a means to cut back on or eliminate your hydrocort or prednisone (or whatever steroid you are on) is a horrible idea that could have life threatening consquences. There are a lot of supplements though that can help with some of the systems and make our bodies healthier. I am still learning about these. There is another thread on... (9 replies)

... I'm wondering if anyone else has problems with sleeping through the night. I can't remember the last time I slept for more than a couple of hours straight, and it seems to be getting worse. And I usually don't feel good when I wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning. Seems to be lots of low cortisol symptoms: nausea, needs to eat some carbs & salt, headache, etc. I always assume... (7 replies)

... Hey there Kris. Thanks for the reply. I realise these things about 'too much steroid'. However, my body rips through the HC SO fast, that I get low cortisol symptoms all the time, even on my high dose! I do have slight cushings symptoms, a little puffiness around the face, and some stomach weight gain, but i was very gaunt before, very underweight.. and now I just look... (20 replies)
... Something is not right here. You can get fatigue from to much steriods, where your muscles atrophy, I can't think of the name right this minute. Look it up. Or, you need to change your prednisone, or be checked for POTS, or Hypothyroidism. Are you sure you are not Cushing from all the steriods? That can happen too. I get the feeling it isn't the HC that isn't working for you,... (20 replies)
... I also feel like this before I am going into crisis or if I have had a particularly stressful day or week. The shaking and crying happens to me and it's very frustrating. Like you said, it's not that you're particularly upset about anything, you just can't stop crying. I would work to reduce whatever stressors you have in your life right now and possibly double your... (7 replies)
