Hi, I have done it both ways. I usually only mix sea salt and baking soda. I tried the neti pot, but I prefer using a baby nose aspirator, I have to refill it each time but spraying it up my nose with my head tilted forward and to the left or right works better for me. Maybe you are not clearing all the water from your nose and that is why you are still congested. When I use the hydrogen peroxide, I just put a few drops in to 2 cups of hot water, along with a 1/4 tsp each of sea salt and baking soda. I squirt the hot water up my nose. It is hot water but I can run my hand under it. If you just started doing it, it may take a few days to not be so stuffed up.
So this does not give relief the first couple of days? My understanding is the rebound congestion goes away on its own after 3 or 4 days of suffering. I need something that works right away. Maybe a sledgehammer Thanks for your quick reply.[QUOTE=palominogirl]Hi, I have done it both ways. I usually only mix sea salt and baking soda.
