I just moved to AZ where my allergies have been really great. Then I went home for Christmas. My inlaws have a dog and I'm very allergic. So between that and the plane ride I got a sinus infection. I was put on antibiotics, but it didn't seem to go away. So they ordered a CT scan. I finally got the results, and the ENT says it looks "perfect." No sign of infection. But I've still got this thick post nasal drip and sinus congestion! I even told him how the ENT who did my surgery also thought I did not have sinusitus, but when he operated on my turbinate, he opened up my sinus, and ended up taking out a lot of gunk. My current ENT even has the surgery records that state this, but he claims there is nothing he can do for me! ARGH!!!

I'm sure this isn't allergies. When I have bad allergies, it also affects my eyes, and my eyes are fine. Plus the pollen reports don't list anything that I'm allergic to, and yes I have been retested since the move.

I know twice daily irrigation will eventually get rid of this, but I just hate doctors who think they know you better than you know yourself. And in a weird way, I think CT scans have made ENT doctors worse. In the old days they listened to your symptoms closely and tried to find a solution. Now they just look at an X-ray, shrug their shoulders and pronouce there is nothing they can do for you.
