I am at my wits end:

I have PND, foggy head, and traditional allergy symptoms.

However, I also have tightness and heaviness in the chest, and it sometimes feels like there is gunk in there. It sometimes feels like I am breathing sawdust, and I can get short of breath climbing stairs (although not severe). I have dryness in the mouth and throat irritation.

A couple months ago, my GP diagnosed me with bronchitis after listening to my chest at taking an x-ray. She gave me prednisone and an antibiotic.

A few days later, I was feeling about 50% better and I saw my allergist. He didn't think my lungs sounded that bad, and said I didn't need the steroids and antibiotics. So I never took the meds. I use a steroid nose spray and Singulair, along with allergy shots now.

But the lung problems never seem to fully go away. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure what to do.
Yeah, I'm taking the Prednisone (16 mg a day for 7 days) now, along with Singulair, and Omnaris in an effort to get rid of this.

Some days I feel pretty good, and I think I must be getting better. Then the next day my chest is tight, my throat is dry and irritated, etc.

It's like mild asthma/bronchitis without all the symptoms. I'm not coughing and I don't have a fever: but I have the chest tightness, raw feeling in throat, and the occasional buzzing in the lungs, like there is gunk in there still.

I am doing allergy shots for dust mites, but I just started that a few months ago--too early to be effective. Not even irrigation is helping.
