I just started the immune-therapy about 2 weeks ago. It's for dust mites.
The initiation phase was fine, no symptoms, but since I'm putting every morning 4 drops under the tongue where it gets swollen immediately.
No horribly swollen, but swollen enough to cause discomfort.

Has anyone else had this? What did you do?[/QUOTE]

Hi Betty!

I've been experimenting with my own at-home, do-it-yourself, Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT) for several years. I've tried things like grass and cotton, among other things; and recently have been experimenting with dust.

I've not had any problems with my tongue. I have experienced increased sinus drainage since I started with the dust; and yesterday, after experimenting with an increased amount of dust, I got woozy, suffered slight nausea and had slight, short-duration chest pains. I also noticed some additional swelling in my legs, ankles and feet, which may or may not have had anything to do with using dust.

Sorry that does not directly address your issues, but I thought that my input might be of some help.

Have you ever had any other side effects, other than the tongue swelling? Palpitations? Feeling warmer? Lightheaded? Scratchy throat? Nausea?
