... No, they don't sound strange. It's just that what they show on TV is what everyone thinks of as allergies. Just a thought on the itchy mouth thing, had you eaten raw fruit - such as peach or apple or something? There is a thing called OAS - oral allergy syndrome. Or it could just be regular allergies. I'd try the spray or just take a zyrtec or claritin and see if that... (3 replies)

... Most definately it is an allergy to something. I was up half of the night with an itchy throat. I just couldn't stop the itching. My nose was becoming congested too. I highly suggest some Benadryl. I can't live without it. ... (2 replies)

... Me too. Only I'm really bad, I stick a bobby pin in my ear and have a party. I also make that horrible sound like a cat hacking something up to relieve the tickle/itch in my palate. I don't find taking allergy meds helps though. I'm on Singulair and Flonase, skipped the Claritin cause it made me shaky. My nose is clear now, probably the Flonase along with quitting smoking. ... IT could be an allergy, but if it only happening when you lay down at night I would look into acid reflux. Oral itching is the sign of an oral allergy. It is often accompanied by mouth ulcers and blisters, heavy drainage, stomach aches, gas, nausea/vomiting, and possibly anaphalxis.
