I was 44 years old when I had mine done and although I took a little longer to heal--weren't those splints a lot of fun?--it helped with the sinus/allergic headaches alot. ... I just had a turbinoplasty performed about 2 weeks ago. I've just had those brown chunks come out yesterday. My ENT said they're nasal crusts. He said I may experince some dryness beacuse of it. Have any of you experienced dryness after discharging nasal crusts? (5 replies)
... The surgery was WELL worth any of the pain and misery! I can breath so much better now, sleep great and according to my husband don't snore any more! ... I too am going for the same operation but not till spring due to a giant waitlist, this dr is really good so he has alot of surgerys to do. Anyways can you believe Ive been suffering 10 or more years and all the other ent's said.. "ohhh a deviated septum is nothing serious". Back when I had surgery, they didn't even take pictures and they had old techniques. They warned me before the operation that they might have to go up under my check instead of through the nostrils.
