Re: Bulbr symptoms

hi,
My mother had bulbar ALS. She started with an increasingly constant nagging cough. Then, we noticed that her speech was slurring, slightly at first and then more noticeably as if she had a mini stroke or something similar. As time went on, she had increasing difficulty swallowing, especially water. I know that there are many conditions that mimic ALS , so try not to worry until you know.

thanks karen. I really feel sorry for ur mom. Actually, when I had muscle twitching I was not that much worried. But when I start getting pain while swallowing, I am totally upset and lost my peace of mind. You said ur mom had difficulty in swallowing rite? Does she had any pain while swallowing? I can feel some sort of burping sound while swallowing with mild pain.
