Probable als???

... my dad was diagnosed with probable als(because everything else was ruled out). he has severe atrophy in his hands(they are almost in fists), weakness in his legs with stiffness(he has started to fall) but he has started to see a chiropractor and has had opening of both hands and increased strength. i guess my question is... would he have any improvement if it was als? he's...
