From my experience, ALS symptoms don't come and go. I don't think pain is an early symptom....not until the muscles are atrophied. ... Go see a ALS Specalist, they can tell you if you have the disease or not. My Mom has ALS for the last 2.5 years and it is getting wrost every week. There are other diseases that are similar to ALS. Also, my mom was diagnosis correctly until she visited more a ALS Docotor.
