So my dr sent me to the neuro who did an emg , diagnosed me with neuropathy with a normal sensory test, another emg said this time its sensimotor polyneurapthy still test is normal, i start having twitches and of course it dr google. ... ... Definitely something, just not ALS. It wouldn't hurt, but quite frankly they will probably just test your reflexes, tell you that you have idiopathic neuropathy. Have they prescribed a low dose anti anxiety yet? Sometimes that along w Gabapentin helps quite a bit with neuropathies. (40 replies)

... have noticed my right arm and shoulder tend to go to sleep when I sleep on them. My right shoulder seems to be "looser" than my left. I have tried some of the ALS tests for the arms and seem to pass them. The only one that presented any issue was raising a 20 dumbell with each arm and my right arm seemed a little weaker. ... ... I don't know if I'm editing correctly or not, but a friend of mine has Peripheral Neuropathy, with symptoms very much like ALS. She also has MS and Porphyria, which makes her condition very grave, but she's a fighter and a trooper and she doesn't give up. I hope none of you do either. nightangel (18 replies)
... t found then i would suggest a spinal tap as the spinal fluid can tell about ten different things. Look up CIDP and see if your symptoms match. Its an autoimmune neuropathy and a high protein count in the spinal fluid is a dead giveaway on this disease...later ! ... (2 replies)
