... From everything I've read, it is almost unheard of for fasciculations (twitching) to precede obvious muscle weakness . And the fact that your EMG /NCT tests were normal, this is extremely reassuring. Also, as far as I know, ALS does not present initially with sensory symptoms (numbness, or pins and needles). ... n my lower legs and slight cramping in the top of my right hand and bottom of left foot. I also have what feels like a slight pulled hamstring. The Dr. did the normal test for reflexes and strength as well as an EMG and Nerve Conductivity Velocity test. He said my strength was good and I did not have any EMG signs of ALS. ... (0 replies)
