... From everything I've read, it is almost unheard of for fasciculations (twitching) to precede obvious muscle weakness . And the fact that your EMG /NCT tests were normal, this is extremely reassuring. Also, as far as I know, ALS does not present initially with sensory symptoms (numbness, or pins and needles).
