Martha you are exactly right in how we feel with dementia. I'm am diagnosed with it and am 52 years old. They don't know why i have this. I do have a leison on my frontal lobe, maybe thats it. Anyway I'm am worried about going on vacation at the end of the month. We are going to visit family and i haven't seen anyone for a year and i am really worse. I have good days and bad days. I can hear the change in their voices when I say something not quite right or repeat myself on the phone. Now I will have to see the expresions too. That is very embarrassing. It takes me a long time to think of words so i discribe them so people will understand. I do take an alzheimers medication and it makes me feel more aware but didn't help with forgetfulness. Some times I wish I weren't aware that I'm forgeting things or can't cook or can't understand what I'm reading or remember what I watched on tv a few hours ago or anxious when outside by myself the list goes on and on. I'm sorry I wrote so much and I hope this helps everyone see that how we feel. I know how to do a lot of things such as gardening and cooking and crafts but i can't get myself do them. Lily
