So I recently got a blood test to determine why my hair has slowly been thinning for the last year and a half. My results came back with a ferritin level of 6. My doctor prescribed 325 mg of iron twice a day with a vitamin C supplement as well.

By reading a lot of other forums, I know that many factors go into how fast your ferritin levels can go up and I know it needs to be around 70 before hair can regrow. I know that I have a pretty low ferritin level, but I don't think I am anemic... or am I? My doctor never actually said that I was when I got my results back.

All of my other levels came back within the normal range
-Red Blood Cell Count: 4.45
-Hgb: 12.4
-Iron: 93
-Iron Binding Capacity: 320
-TIBC: 413
-B12: 857
-TSH: 1.66

I would just appreciate some opinions on how fast you think I could get them up. I'm only 18 and I would LOVE to have my thick hair back! I know it will take a while, but I just want to know that it is attainable. Thank you.
