Hi guys,

I have some strange blood test results and I'd love to hear what you think please, especially as I can't seem to get a straight answer out of my Doctor. My Ferritin is 4.8 ug/l which is extremely low - the Doctor was quite thrown by how low it is - yet my B12/Folate is higher than normal at 841 ng/l.

Other noteworthy results are the Haemoglobin estimation at 98 g/L, MCV at 68.8 fL, Haematocrit at 0.34 L/L, MCH at 19.9 pg, MCHC at 289 g/L and Red blood cell distribution width of 17.6%.

I can't seem to find any info online regarding low Ferritin and high B12, so I'd love to hear if anyone has experienced the same, or knows if these are possible indicators of anything else? My Doctor reacted to my Ferritin like it was something pretty serious, but all he's done is put me on Iron to reassess in a month and I was hoping he might want to investigate why these results are occurring.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
