I had low iron from heavy periods and endometriosis. I wound up first on Iron Supplements under a doctors care- I had to have blood work done monthly for 6 months. It did help, but in the end I wound up having an ablation- a female procedure to stop the heavy bleeding.

The scope is really no big deal. Do not be scared out of your whits! Its a very quick procedure either done in an endoscopy center or a short procedure unit in the hospital (depends on your doctor). Usually you are given IV sedation, where the drugs go into your vein- you are semi conscious, but you will remember nothing. It takes less than 15 minutes from start to finish and it will be over before you know it. You will feel nothing and remember nothing. Its an important test because it can show allot more than any other test. Get it done and get it over with and it will be behind you.

Good luck!
