About 5 years ago (maybe longer) my H&H (hematocrit and hemogloban) were really low. I was sent to a hematologist who put me on Procrit to help me make more red blood cells. At... (0 replies)

He was saying based on my previous labs it looked like I could have had an anemia of chronic disease since my MCV was normal as were my iron tests, although my iron saturation was low normal. Anyway, he... (0 replies)
... Thanks for all the replies. Luckily I go in monthly for blood draws so I will know where I stand. ... I had a CBC run before a minor surgery and some of the results were low. I have been feeling abnormally fatigued and this maybe explains why. The reason it appears mild is that your red cell count is in normal range and your hemoglobin is slightly off at sea level. If you live in the mountains, then it is a bit more of a problem than it looks like on paper. ... (2 replies)
