I gain weight when my levels are low due to the loss of energy. When I become anemic as a result of the iron deficiency it's hard for me to keep up with my daily gym workouts. I tire easily and find that I cheat on my time and level on the equipment! I also think I tend to eat more to compensate for the missing iron. I crave meat but don't really enjoy it so I tend to fill up on other foods. I know many other foods are good sources of iron but the only ones I really like are the cereal and beans. Too bad chocolate isn't a good source of iron!!! :D
