When anemia is classified as "severe"? Some references say that you don't even have symptoms until your hemoglobin is at about 8. That makes me wonder how much of what I feel is in my head...
I definitely can't exercise anymore. I used to be able to run 5 miles easily, and now I can't even run a mile even though I've been pushing myself. I just hope that I've actually found the cause for my symptoms. Does anyone know what level of hemoglobin is generally accepted as the point where you start to feel the effects?

8!!!??? I've been borderline anemic (12-ish) and I felt the effects THEN. It is not in your head. Right now I am at about 9, and I'm very, very tired.
