Tana,
RDW is a measure of the width of the red blood cells width, and it tells whether your red blood cells are young or old. It can indicate a folate or B12 deficiency, and for me, my hematologist uses it to see if my hemolytic anemia is acting up. If it's really out of range, it means my red blood cells are all baby-sized, meaning they never have a chance to mature before being destroyed by my crazy immune system.

What is your RDW?

Jill
