I hope you feel better soon. As for walking, I think I know why the doctor recommended it, besides the obvious. There is a possibility, he/she is hoping that as you build up your distance in walking, the TSH will self correct. Sometimes medication still has to be given, but the balancing between too much and not enough can cause a lot of negative symptoms. Take some one with you if you push further than you are used to, so that they can get a vehicle to come back for you if you are unable to continue. This way you will feel safe to try to walk more. I have personally had a hGB of 7 with no discernible ferritin. I was definitely short of breath and had little attacks of tachycardia, but at the time I was unaware of the low numbers and continued to do the things I was doing ( little slower) Then, when it was discovered and I was medicated, I just popped right up to normal. It was much easier than if I had just had to get up and start over. This worked for me, but you have to do what you think is best.
