Fairyjill--It looks like you've been given some great advice here. It's strange that so many of us have anxiety in common on this board. I have always been anxious all my life but NEVER had a problem with it until the anemia. Anemia magnifies the situation so much. I find that as my Hgb rises the anxiety goes away more and more. But when I even think about a doctor's visit now I start to get upset. I hate that so much. I'm hoping that I can return to normal someday. I just want you to know that it's effecting you so profoundly because it effects people this way that haven't had the problem before, like me. So it is much worse for you. I had to take Xanax for 6 months to get through and it helped me so much.

Even if you had a blood test your blood hasn't changed that much in a week. I think that monthly is a good schedule to make sure that you are not dropping. You should discuss this with your doctor a CBC schedule. It's a slow process when it does drop. So, I think that it's just the anxiety and the symptoms are horrible. We really do know how you are feeling. I have not been able to work for a year. That's how ill I have been, I hope this is not your case. You may need some time off for healing. It's not easy and I would have cringed at the thought of not working but I had no choice.

I don't know if this will help you, but while at work take it slow. That seems to help me a lot with my symptoms. The more stress and exercise on the body the worse the symptoms can be. Hang in there and know that it's the anemia your probably NOT getting worse. Good luck to you and hang in there. Keep us posted. FLFLOWERGIRL:)
