i also get really tired, and dizzy all the time, i thought that i had a thyroid problem so i started taking thyroid supplements which didnt help and made my hair fall out. so i had bloodwork done and it came back negative except the doctor didnt check my iron levels. i'm a little stumpted and confused about all of this.

A CBC blood test is the only test that can show anemia. Obviously, you did not have anemia.

Now, you can be deficient in certain minerals that would eventually cause anemia. But while you are in the "depletion" stage and not anemic, you can have many of the symptoms--just not as severe.

If you suspect iron deficiency you need to have a test done called Ferritin.

You should also have your B-12 checked as that can be low and cause symptoms.

You didn't say if your thyroid levels were off. What type of supplements were you taking? When I hear "supplements" I think of OTC stuff. That won't really work if your thyroid is sluggish. You would need T4 medication prescribed by your doctor.
