My doc sent me home from work last Thurs with level of 6.2. I have done nothing but sit, take iron and eat red meat since then. Today they checked and it is an 8, told me they would see me in a week.
I felt the worst this morning I have felt in 4 days, just getting up, getting dressed I thought I would pass out, increased heart rate, trouble breathing, yet it had gone up.
The nurse took the test this morning, my doc wont be in until this afternoon. They told me he would call me this afternoon.
Is that unusual for such an increase with oral iron and red meat only? If it is up, why did I still feel so bad this morning? I just dont know what to ask him, seems like as long as I am sitting I am ok. Is it the stress of my job that made it worse and sitting at home helped?
I have always been a get up and go person, no matter how I feel, is this going to be one of those times I just need to get up and go.
Also should I still see a hematologist to figure out why it dropped so low in the first place or just be glad it is increasing. I am just baffled..
