I also take 40 mg of Prilosec per day (prescription) and my iron seems to be absorbing along with that. If there is one that works better with the PPIs, I don't think anyone knows what it is.

That is EXACTLY what the pharmacist told me today, when I asked her about the Nexium and the iron deficiency. :) I should have also asked about the calcium citrate that another pharmacist had recommended. It is supposed to be a necessary component in creating a good stomach environment for people on PPIs (whatever THAT means!). I have been taking it because of the pharmacist's recommendation. I hope it does not interfere with the iron absorption?
