I have low iron mostly just low ferritin now. I have been on iron for a few months...and was having EXTREME insomnia. It is slowly getting better, but I am still tossing and turning, and waking up in the middle of the night. I am also deficient in some other vitamins like magnesium and b12. SO, I am working on increasing a lot.

I was also taking 10mg of ambien which didnt help much either. The doc gave me a benzo to sleep which is not helping too much either. I will talk to him this week to see if I need to up the dose at night.

I feel as though things are slowly getting better... Take the iron on an empty stomache and take it with a vitamin c chewable thing. It helps with bsorbtion. ANd dont eat for an hour or so after taking it.
