Thanks for your responses Flowergirl and Beauty - what supplements did you take? I take ferrogradumet containing dried ferrous sulfate 325 mg (equivalent to 105 mg of elemental iron). But I haven't been taking them lately just in case they were CAUSING the papitations (I know, mad, aren't I?) but I think anxiety is getting the better of me again. Should I take 2 a day?
Trixibel--You might want to start by taking at least one a day then build up to two if you can tolerate it well, if your numbers are still low. I don't believe that the iron supplements are causing the palps, most likely low iron, possibly anxiety as well. I took 300mgs of Poly Iron for a year, now I take 150mgs daily. FLFLOWERGIRL:)

I'm taking ferrous succinate 25 mg twice daily (it's in a supplement called RBC). I have no problems with constipation/loose or any nausea with these supplements.

It is recommended to stay on iron supplements for at least 6 months after the anemia has resolved to build the iron stores. Some people go to a multivitamin but a good iron supplement is best. FLFLOWERGIRL:)
