GG--I don't know how you can get more help where you live, I don't know that system. I thought that you were going to get iron injections. Right now, I can tell you that you want to be on iron supplements 3X daily at 65 mgs of elemental iron each dose. Talk to your pharmacist about high dose iron. You should try supplements until you find one that works for you. If they won't help you, you will have to do it yourself. For most normal healthy people it doesn't take that long to build your Hgb levels back up to the non anemic stage. It's the ferritin that can take forever for some. At this time you do not need a blood transfusion according to what my doctor would say, or hospitalization but you do need IV or some form of iron. You need to take in more iron that is lost. Next, you should find a Hematologist that will prescribe therapy that is needed. They will also order tests to rule out any possible causes.

As for being alone, I would not recommend it. My husband had to be my caregiver for a full year I was unable to do anything. Not even able to go to a store for a year, no shopping!!! Someone really should be helping you out. This is my best advice to you. I wish you the best of luck. Keep us posted. FLFLOWERGIRL:)
