I'm new here too...looking for help/info....my iron is at 8.0...I get the impression taht it's not all that bad but I'm extremely symptomatic...it kind of freaks me out how dizzy and tired I get...if I knew this was normal for my iron level I would at least feel a little relieved...I've been injecting b12 weekly but it has yet to have any effect....it seems like my symptoms get better then worse, then better, then worse again...I thought that with the iron supplements and the B12 I would only feel better...anybody have any info?
Welcome lorilori

I am not sure about your iron levles I think ours are different here......
But do youknow what your ferritin is?

I am B12 deficient and had severe symptoms very ill.......

I am curious as to what type of B12 you are having do you know it has been my experience the type is very crucial.......

B12 can take a while to get you well again as can iron it takes get low
what dosage is your injections.......

My doctor put me on Methylcobalamin the active form of B12 at 10,000mcg 3 times a week we are going to 2 now I have been having 3 a week for 4 months and my symptoms have gone he is very pleased with my recovery but we found out I have celiac disesae to which caused low levles of iron (and I cactually only found this out yesterday cant believe that mine was 11 even though normal range here way to low )B12,Folate,Vit D with celiac you dont absorbed those nutrients fromv the food as they are used by the gut....
So I feel coming of gluten has helped the healing process faster....

Do you know the cause of your deficiency and are you taking Folate and small amounts of B6 these are cofactors of B12 most people just take b12 but you really need the cofactors to work properly........

When I first started on the B12 injection I actually got worse that was scarey but was assured it would pass as Methylcobalaminn scavengers toxins too like nitric oxide so you kinda detox it was worth those rough tough 3 weeks or so........

happy to help with any more questions for you you might like to look up Dr Myhill she works with CFS patients but she uses B12 for therapy along with other nutrients believing that CFS is just a symptom of B12 Def...She has a pdf book to download for free it is very interesting.....

You may also be needing adneysol B12 another active B12 it is sold as dibenzicode you can get these in sublinguals this works on the mitrochondria in the cells which gives us our energy and is very important.......You can research on this......

Take care;)
