I had my follow-up appointment for my low hemoglobin and ferritin of 2 and I think I really like my doctor! I told her about the ferrous sulfate messing with my stomach and she said "Why are you taking ferrous sulfate. I would never prescribe ferrous sulfate". The pharmacy switched the type of iron tablets without telling me or her! I'm ticked! I have taken the wrong iron for a month when I could have been taking what she wanted me to take. She has now put me on Amino-iron 18mg. Do any of you have experience with this?

Here is the blood work I'm having done: CBC with Diff with Plt (not sure what all that means), ferritin, reticulocyte count, antiparietal cells. Does this sound appropriate? Will my supplementation with iron or the B vitamins interfere with this testing? Should I go off of the supplementation before the testing?

I am starting with Progesterone cream to help with the heavy periods and she said after we see how the Progesterone cream works, we will possibly start on a very low dose of Armour for the thyroid antibodies even though the TSH, T3, and T4 were normal.

I'm feeling very hopeful that I can start feeling better.
