My iron is low, the number is down to 5. Apparently it should be between 22-200.

My dr gave me Ferrograd-Folic which is
Dried Ferrous Sulphate BP 325g
(controlled release equivalent to 105g elemental iron)

I have found I get constipated but feel fine taking these iron tablets.

I have now been told by health natural shop that I shouldn't take them becasue they are so harsh on the system and your body cannot even absorb that harsh iron and I should be taking healthier options.

they suggested iron which is organic chelated iron 35mg (with Vit C)

I am confused...should I just get on with it and try to boost my iron with harsh tablets and hope that my body absorbs it or go slow with the gentlier iron which is apparently more absorbable?

Also, the other day I was laying on the floor on my back, I raised my legs in the air (as my back was sore and I thought it might release it) and then when I got up my head suddenly felt very tight/heavy and I got very I was on a ship.

Could this be due to low iron or possibly something else? I came right after a little while but got a fright.
