j0j0quan--Glad to see you here! ;)

It is my belief that when you begin to present with a problem taking iron you should make a change. Now, if you are just beginning then it should be introduced slowly, and quartered pills if necessary, taken with food then without until your system can get used to it. FS is very harsh indeed. If you have given your body a good fighting chance to get used to it, and it's not working then you should definitely change what you are taking to a high dose, GI friendly iron it comes with or without B-12 too and Vit-C already added. Script or without also. Insurance doesn't cover it most likely. I would go on ahead and have the blood test to see where you are it is very important, no the ferritin though because you already know thats low and takes forever. I wouldn't mess around though I would try higher dose if you need to change and something that is friendly. I take mine on an empty stomach, and I am as sensitive as they come. Some of what you are feeling is probably just your condition. I remember one of my first symptoms was that I could no longer cope with small things. Take care and good luck to you on Thursday. Keep us posted. FLFG
