Hi nona123 - is it your ferritin which is 4? If so, that is low, and you ought to be on an iron supplement. There is quite a range available. Some might give you a bit of an upset stomach, some might give you constipation. You may need to try a couple of different ones to find out which one will suit you personally. I use Ferro Grad-C as it's slow release, gentle on the stomach and contains Vitamin C to help absorb the iron. The iron found in multivitamins is not of a high enough dose to help raise your ferritin. It would also be a good idea to find out why your ferritin is low as low iron is always a symptom of something, unless your diet lack red meat.
