Audrey-B is correct in saying that you won't bring your levels up with a multivitamin with iron alone. You might want to ask your doctor for a script iron if you are unable to tolerate OTC iron supplements. They are a higher dose iron, and GI friendly, which is what is necessary when having problems. I have no S/E's with mine, this is my personal experience. However, I was unable to tolerate Ferris Sulfate which is the most recommended form and many people have no problem with this. The sooner you start taking iron (that is well tolerated) the sooner your symptoms should resolve for you. Take care. FLFG :)
