On my last two iron tests over the last two years my transferrin is below the normal limit. The normal range for my lab is 250-350. One test a couple of years ago was 238 and one I had done a month ago was 245. I don't know if these are drastically low but considering I feel awful I'm wondering if since they are fairly low it could be causing my symptoms. I have hardly any energy, my muscles don't react well to exercise. They feel achy and extremely tired if I try to exercise. My muscles cramp and twitch a lot. My heart skips beats and makes me feel dizzy. I have constant low back and periformis pain. I have lack of concentration and my memory is getting worse. I follow a very good diet with lean meats and fish, lots of veggies and fruit and good fats like seeds, nuts and olive oil. I don't think my lack of a good diet is to blame for my lack of energy. If anyone can give me any insight it would really be appreciated. My dr. doesn't think these are low numbers but I would like to get other opinions.

Thanks,
Beth
