Hello! I have been reading the board and this has to be the most extensive forum I have ever seen...
I am hoping there might be some advice for me on this, thank you in advance.

I have had bouts of anaemia for the past 6 years, on and off. Back in November 2011 I was tested again and my iron levels were low, down to 7.9 (I hope that makes sense, forgive me, I don't remember the medical terminology.) I understand the acceptable healthy minimum is 11. So I have been taking ferrous sulphate (60mg tablet) once a day since. Up until I found out I was pregnant, I was feeling much better, to the extent I could run long distance again and had stopped sleeping all the time.

The past 2 weeks I have reverted back to feeling exhausted and this evening for instance, I went to bed at 18:00 after work. I know early pregnancy makes you tired but I am concerned my iron levels are still depleted. I am due a blood test Monday to check them again but I am wondering how anaemia can impact a pregnancy? I cannot spend then next 8 months sleeping!

Thank you :)
