Thanks for the input! I'm thinking what I might do is take the prenatal vitamin as her recommends, but, as that only equals a total of 60 mg of iron a day, supplement with an actual iron pill as well? From what I here most people aim for 150-200 mg of elemental iron, so I suppose I just thought that 60 mg would just kind of leave me hanging in the low end. I do agree that anxiety could be playing up symptoms however! Thanks!

Is that 60 Mgs of iron per pill? Are you going to take the 2?
The prenatal vitamins have 28 mg of iron each and the doctor recommended taking two per day. Does that sound right?

In my opinion which will probably vary from another persons, no. I don't give the best advice, but your ferritin is pretty low and it's a hard number to raise. Maybe it's because your hemocrit and your hemoglobin are normal levels which would mean your not anemic. Iron is something you will want to take per your Dr's advice though because you can take to much. Have you tried talking to just a pharmacist? Sometimes they give pretty good advice too, I know mine does. There is stronger iron available over the counter, but again not something you want to mess with unless you have Dr's guidance.

I personally was just posting and freaking out because I'm scared I'm taking to much iron. But I also know what having low ferritin can make you feel like and wish that feeling on no one.
